What Is Canada Post Lettermail?

Lettermail is a service provided by Canada Post to send personal messages, invoices, billing statements within Canada. It is the most convenient and cheapest way to send letters, cards, any type of report, receipts, Flexible magnets, any type of notice, CD or DVD, etc. It is of two types.Canada Post Lettermail

  1. Standard: Mails that meets the required size and weight details.
  2. Other (Non-Standard and Oversize): Mails that don’t meet the required size and weight of standard mail and which doesn’t exceed the max. and min. weight required details.

The items we have listed below are not accepted by Canada Post as standard lettermail. All these items may only be mailed as non-standard mail. If you send these items through standard mail, then it will not be accepted anyhow and your lettermail will be sent back to you (sender).

  • anything fragile or perishable
  • anything that may soil or harm other mail, postal equipment, or can cause injuries to persons handling them.

Canada Post Lettermail Rates | Canada Post Lettermail Prices:

Canada Post has its rates specified with weight and number of sheets. It charges $1.07 stamp / $0.92 stamp in a booklet with 0-30g (up to 5 sheets of paper) of weight within Canada, charges $1.30 for 0-30g (up to 5 sheets of paper) of weight within the U.S, and charges $2.71 for 0-30g (up to 5 sheets of paper) of weight within international destinations.

Canada Post lettermail rates for overweight lettermail are different. It charges $1.30 for 30g-50g (up to 9 sheets of paper) of weight within Canada, charges $1.94 for 30g-50g (up to 9 sheets of paper) of weight within the U.S, and charges $3.88 for 30g-50g (up to 9 sheets of paper) of weight within international destinations. Canada Post Lettermail Delivery Time:

Canada Post lettermail delivery time is the estimated delivery standard of how much time it will take for the mail to be delivered. These Delivery Standards are not guaranteed. It takes 2 days in local, 3 days within the province and 4 days for national delivery in major urban centres. Canada Post lettermail delivery takes 2 days in local, 3 days within the province and 4 days for national delivery in non-major urban centres, but for the northern regions and remote centres it takes the same time for local of 2 Days, within the province up to 6 days and for the national delivery it takes up to 8 days for delivering a lettermail. These delivery standards are not fixed. There may be some changes according to weather conditions. Your lettermail can be delivered late due to bad weather conditions or some different reasons.
